Last Sunday, the weather was scorching hot. Even though I thought I have gulped a gallon of water, still my throat felt so dry. Not only my voice was losing but also I lose my focus on my new assignment. I received the last minute request from my company's biggest client and I don't think my new boss would approve if I turned down the request. It could only jeopardize my new position since it's my own free will to work with them.

I recalled the moment before I was transferred, the first thing I had in mind is to open a broadband account as I must have the internet access to get in touch with my family and friends back home. I wasn't looking forward to outdoor pursuit so I think it could also chase my loneliness away by visiting the chat room.

It wasn't as easy as I thought because in the first couple of weeks, I had to spend most of my nights in the office to acquire the internet access. At first, the boss told me that the broadband account will be arranged by the company, so I thought until I feel totally whacked as my two consecutive weekends I had to go to the office because of some modifications on the website designs. As if the boss was testing my patience, everything was settled on the third week and my internet was up.

So, when I received the important call on last Sunday, I was working on it in my pajama, but because of the weather I am still adjusted to, I decided to put it aside for a while and spent my time in the chat room instead. I felt bad and made a mental note to accomplish everything in the evening when the weather is cooler as my brain works better at night.

At night, when my job is almost finished, suddenly, there was a rainstorm and I had to endure the line dropped on the broadband server. It was unstable and the connection was very slow. Outside, the lightning was blazing and with the growling sound of the thunders, I quickly switched off the laptop, feared of the lightning as there was no anti-lightning socket. I didn't mind if I couldn't visit the chat room, but I really needed the internet access for the final touch of my work.
